Get an early glimpse of the legends

The Slough Jets Legends would like to thank Absolutely Ice for providing them an opportunity to train ahead of the upcoming charity legends game.

With just 10 days left until the legends take to the ice at the Montem Lane Ice Arena the Management of Absolutely Ice have kindly offered the guys some training ice to blow away the cobwebs ahead of the big day.

The doors will be open and you can come down and see some of the guys training from 8.30 – 10.30pm on Tuesday 15th July. Obviously not every player will be able to make it but many of the local guys will be in attendance, some of the older generation and some of the current players will be out on the ice, getting some mileage in the legs and brushing up on the skills.

Mark Denholm said; “The support for this game has been amazing. So many people are excited for this event and we’re looking forward to a great day. I’d like to thank Absolutely Ice for giving us the training ice to let the players get a skate ahead of the game. The team at the rink have been of great help, providing the ice, selling the tickets and taking on a lot of the arrangements on the day and now giving the guys a chance to get some practice ice before the game.

He continued; “We’ll have the doors open so you can come and watch the legends in training for free. Absolutely Ice have agreed to open the café/bar so you’ll be able to get something to eat and drink. Spread the word, we want this whole event to encompass as many Jets and hockey fans as possible.

The Legends will be in open doors training on Tuesday 15th July, 8.30-10.30pm in preparation for the charity game at Absolutely Ice on Saturday 19th July at 3pm.
